Prologue
Zuzana and Michal, a newly wed Czech couple who held their wedding ceremony on the grasslands of the Czech Republic in late May 2019, will soon be setting off on an epic bicycle tour of the Japanese archipelago, starting up north in Hokkaido in early June and finishing down south in Okinawa in February of next year. If you spot the couple riding through your area, please tell them about the local attractions and delicious local food. During their trip, they will be writing about their experiences and feelings in an IHCSA Café blog and their own SNS account.
On June 4, just before their cycling tour began, IHCSA held a little party in a multipurpose room at its office to celebrate Zuzana and Michael’s wedding. They told us about how they met and their ambitions for the cycling tour across the length of Japan, and IHCSA presented them with name cards to give to people they meet on their trip and Japanese-style cases to keep them in. The name cards have illustrations of their smiling faces. If you have the chance, do ask them for one!
